Data Analyst (Electronics Manufacturing) – Defence
We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong background in Electronic Engineering and Manufacturing to support a leading Defence customer. This is a hands-on role focused on analysing complex datasets across the electronics production lifecycle to drive improvements in efficiency, reliability, and performance. The ideal candidate will be currently SC cleared and able to commute to Bolton.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse complex datasets from various stages of the electronics production lifecycle.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities in manufacturing processes, test results, and supply chain data.
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product reliability.
- Collaborate with electronics engineers, production teams, and quality assurance specialists to translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Design and build dashboards and reports to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactively improve data collection methods, tools, and data management practices in a low-volume production environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of performance measurement frameworks across production areas.
- Potentially mentor junior data analysts and contribute to team capability development.
Required Skills and Experience
- Current SC Clearance (mandatory).
- Proven experience in data analysis within electronics manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of electronic engineering principles and production processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience designing and implementing dashboards and reports for diverse audiences.
