We are seeking an experienced Business Continuity Consultant to support the development, enhancement, and embedding of enterprise-wide resilience strategies. This is a business-facing, advisory-led role, suited to someone comfortable operating at C-suite and board level, translating risk and resilience concepts into clear commercial impact.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure continuity planning is aligned to organisational priorities, regulatory expectations, and operational realities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with executive leadership and business units to shape and mature the organisation's Business Continuity (BC) and resilience framework.
  • Lead and facilitate Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and risk assessments across key business functions.
  • Develop, review, and enhance business continuity and crisis management plans.
  • Provide strategic advisory to the board and senior leadership on resilience posture, risks, and mitigation approaches.
  • Design and deliver scenario exercises, workshops, and simulations, including board-level crisis rehearsals.
  • Ensure alignment with relevant standards (e.g. ISO 22301) and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the embedding of a resilience-first culture across the organisation.
  • Produce clear, concise reporting for executive audiences, translating technical risk into business impact.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, risk, and compliance teams to ensure integrated continuity planning.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a Business Continuity / Resilience Consultant role within a complex organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with credibility to engage at C-suite and board level.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering business-led continuity programmes (not purely IT/DR focused).
  • Excellent ability to translate risk into commercial and operational impact.
  • Experience facilitating senior-level workshops and crisis exercises.
  • Strong understanding of business continuity frameworks and best practice (e.g. ISO 22301).
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Pragmatic, outcome-driven approach with strong influencing capability.
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g. financial services, utilities, or similar).
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CBCI, MBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor).
  • Exposure to enterprise risk management or operational resilience frameworks.
