About the Role: As SEO Content Manager at Position Digital, you will lead the SEO Content function, helping our varied client base win more business from organic search. You will be responsible for creating, managing and delivering SEO content strategies and reporting on their effectiveness. This includes working on everything from content audits and AI brand visibility audits to keyword research and content production.
You will use AI across your workflow to produce work quickly and to a high standard. You must be confident in prompting AI to get quality outputs and know how to refine or edit these outputs to create content that aligns with search intent and consumer expectations. You will be comfortable working directly with clients in an account management capacity, providing regular content updates and presenting strategies and reports.
Responsibilities include:
- Produce and execute best-in-class SEO content strategies for new and existing clients
- Feed into SEO reports to ensure visibility into performance
- Liaise closely with clients to deliver regular updates and present results and strategies
- Monitor SEO results to spot any performance issues
- Conduct audits into content performance, AI brand visibility and internal linking
- Use tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, GA4, Screaming Frog and Google Search Console for strategy development
- Create detailed content briefs
- Write, edit and proof content for blogs, landing pages, guides, and occasionally press releases
- Optimise existing content in line with UX, SEO, GEO and CRO principles
- Collaborate with designers and developers on content layout and usability
- Use AI tools to streamline content creation
- Ensure team wellbeing initiatives are implemented as a priority
About You: Essential qualifications include at least 5 years of experience in SEO content, with an excellent understanding of on-page SEO best practices, experience writing for B2B, SaaS or Tech audiences, and proven experience with content strategy, keyword research, content creation, content auditing and optimisation.
You should have strong writing, proofing, and editing skills, an understanding of UX and content design principles, and the ability to manage projects independently while meeting deadlines. Native fluency in English is required, and you should be based in the UK, South Africa, Europe or a time zone within 3 hours of the UK.
Bonus qualifications include experience gathering expert contributors, skills in design or visual content creation, and experience working remotely full-time.
