Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our client, a reputable engineering manufacturing company. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in quality control, particularly within hazardous area and high-pressure equipment manufacturing.

The Quality Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring products meet stringent quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Full-time, permanent position, Monday - Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30 and Friday: 07:30 – 12:30

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect incoming products for consistency and integrity, including dimensional checks, electrical circuit resistance, coating thickness and condition, and PMI.
  • Review material and works test reports for traceability and compliance with order specifications.
  • Process and communicate with external providers regarding any rejections and corrective action reports related to incoming products.
  • Verify parts against orders, conduct visual and electrical testing of spare orders, and process them for dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records (both hard and soft copies) and assist in resolving any resulting issues.
  • Liaise with Engineers, Production Supervisors, and production staff to discuss and resolve inspection-related concerns regarding heater bundles, pressure vessels, and control panels.
  • Support and assist in the training of new and trainee staff as required.
  • Work in accordance with the Quality and Health & Safety Management systems, meeting the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001.
  • Assist with other tasks as required as part of the Quality Control team.
  • Ensure compliance with all standards, internal policies, and specifications that apply to the finished product.

A successful Quality Inspector will have experience in FMCG and non-food manufacturing inspection, along with strong knowledge of ISO 900 standards. They should be able to manage their workload independently while also working effectively within a team. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings is essential.
