Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in engineering and offshore projects to lead and manage the successful delivery of complex projects. The Project Engineer will have a proven track record of managing project costs, schedules, and customer satisfaction, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. You will oversee all project stages, from handover to final installation. Your role will involve regular communication with clients, suppliers, and internal departments, and you will act as the focal point for any technical and commercial issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee projects from handover to completion, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget.
- Procure necessary materials, raising material enquiries and purchase requisitions as required.
- Maintain financial management systems, updating actual and forecast costs.
- Identify and address commercial, contractual, and design risks, escalating issues to senior management as needed.
- Willingness to travel offshore when required to supervise project execution and progress.
Qualifications & Experience:
- City & Guilds/NVQ in a relevant engineering field, or HND/HNC in Engineering.
- Minimum of three yearsβ experience in a similar Project Engineer role.
- Experience working in an offshore environment.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and proactive approach.
