Position 1 Recruitment is pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking a Production Operative / Forklift Driver to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, temporary basis until mid-April.
Role Overview
This role is a combination of forklift driving, production packing duties, and general warehouse housekeeping. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a forklift to transport IBCs from the production line to the storage area, including building stacks
- Loading lorries with IBCs from the storage area using a forklift
- Operating the packing plant to fill IBCs with fertiliser
- Selecting correct bags and ensuring they are filled according to company procedures
- Labelling and sealing bags correctly
- Carrying out daily inspections and pre-use checks on mobile and fixed plant
- Assisting with preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment
- Maintaining cleanliness and general housekeeping across the site to prevent product residue build-up and cross-contamination
- Complying with all relevant legislation, company procedures, and site rules
Requirements
- Valid Forklift Licence (essential)
- Proven forklift driving experience
- Ability to work flexibly within a production environment
Working Hours
- Day Shift: Monday β Friday, 06:00 β 18:00
- Night Shift Available: Sunday β Thursday, 18:00 β 06:00
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours
- Night shift rates: Time and a third
