Position 1 Recruitment are looking for a Maintenance engineer to join our client, a manufacturing site based in Norwich. Our client is a reputable producer of a bespoke product, and due to ongoing growth, they are looking for an experienced Maintenance engineer to join their friendly team.

The Role:
The Maintenance engineer will provide effective maintenance support to the production operation and coordinate with the Factory Manager, Area Manager, and Shift Supervisors to prioritise work in line with production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair plant/equipment issues (mechanical & electrical).
- Perform planned, scheduled, and project-based maintenance.
- Improve equipment reliability and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify failure trends, and prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to prioritise tasks and manage breakdowns.
- Liaise with suppliers/contractors for technical support, spares, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and COSHH regulations.
About You:
- The Maintenance engineer will have proven experience in a similar role, ideally in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
- The ideal candidate will have PPM/TPM experience, pro-active & reactive maintenance, mechanical & electrical skills, and be able to read & understand hydraulic/pneumatic drawings.
- Recognised engineering qualifications are required.
