Position 1 Recruitment is seeking a CAD Technician to join our client's well-maintained site, offering excellent long-term career development opportunities.

As a CAD Technician, I produce accurate approval, fabrication, and construction drawings, compile precise Bills of Materials, and collaborate with customers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to deliver compliant, cost-effective products on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist with the continued implementation of Autodesk Inventor 3D and Vault Professional within the Engineering & Design Team.
- To utilise the principles of Design for Manufacture and value‑added engineering throughout design undertakings where applicable.
- To utilise best practice and ensure that all designs eliminate hazards and reduce risks, as far as is reasonably practicable.
- To assist change and develop more efficient processes within the Engineering & Design team.
- To participate actively in Continuous Improvement, Lean initiatives and other activities to improve the overall efficiency of the Company, including via ISO 9001 accreditation.
- To ensure that duties are carried out in accordance with all Company policies, procedures and processes.
- To carry out any other duties that may reasonably be requested giving due regard to your role.
Qualifications:
- Experience within manufacturing business
- Autodesk Inventor 3D, SolidWorks, or similar 3D software and AutoCAD experience.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Desirable - Degree/HND in an engineering/manufacturing qualification or equivalent work experience in a related role.
