Position 1 Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Goods In Warehouse Operative to join a busy manufacturing site near Diss. This is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional with a valid Forklift Truck Licence who is looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday position. What’s on Offer * Monday to Friday working hours — no weekend work * 37.5 hours per week * Pension contribution of 4%, increasing to 10% after 10 years of service * Life Assurance at 3 times your basic salary * Free on-site parking * 23 days' holiday, increasing to 25 days, plus Bank Holidays * Exclusive discounts across a wide range of high street brands, including holidays, days out and meals * Access to health and wellbeing support * GP on Demand * Confidential helplines and one-to-one counselling The Role As a Goods In Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include: * Following Purchasing, Goods Inwards and company procedures * Safely unloading deliveries using a forklift truck and manual handling equipment * Checking deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes * Inspecting incoming goods for quantity and quality * Assisting with packing and shipping parts for subcontract operations * Organising and prioritising workload to meet deadlines * Maintaining a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment * Working closely with colleagues to ensure goods are received and processed efficiently About You The successful candidate will ideally have: * Previous experience in a Goods Inwards, Warehouse or Yard environment * A valid Forklift Truck Licence — essential * Good attention to detail when checking deliveries and documentation * The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Good organisational and communication skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams * A reliable and flexible approach to work * A strong commitment to health and safety
