Position 1 Recruitment is looking for a CAD Technician to join their client’s engineering and manufacturing team.
This is a permanent, full-time position with good opportunities for long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate approval, fabrication and construction drawings
- Produce and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Use Autodesk Inventor 3D, Auto CAD and Vault Professional
- Work with engineers, customers and manufacturing teams
- Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to designs
- Help improve design processes and efficiency
- Support Continuous Improvement and Lean activities
- Follow company quality, safety and ISO 9001 procedures
- Help identify and reduce design and manufacturing risks
- Support the development and implementation of new engineering processes
Skills & Experience
- Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor 3D, Auto CAD, Solid Works or similar CAD software
- Good understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing
- Experience producing Bills of Materials
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Power Point)
- Engineering/manufacturing qualification such as HNC/HND or degree is desirable, but relevant experience may also be considered
