As a Project/Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing technical projects from concept through to completion. You will collaborate across teams including production, marketing, and senior management, contributing to both design and research & development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to define project specifications and procedures
- Lead project planning and coordinate technical activities
- Contribute to R&D efforts for new and existing products
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Maintain strong communication with customers, suppliers, and sales teams
- Analyse technical and resource needs to assess project feasibility
- Support installation, maintenance, and testing of equipment
- Design of mechanical components and assessment of design suitability
- Development of equipment specifications and performance requirements
- Create and maintain assembly drawings, manuals, and supporting documentation
- Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and cost calculations
- Liaise with clients, colleagues, and suppliers on technical matters
- Promote a safe working environment in line with company QHSE standards
Key Requirements:
- Proficient in CAD and 3D CAD software (Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or Alibre preferred)
- Background in metal fabrication desirable
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent attention to detail and computer literacy
- Familiarity with water industry standards a plus
- Confident in report writing and project documentation
- Ability to manage workload under pressure with strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, flexible, and reliable team player
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
