About the Role:
Position 1 Recruitment are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packing & Warehouse Operative to join our clients friendly team. The role involves preparing and packing goods for export, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Construct and build boxes and packing cases for export based on projects supplied by the Logistics Coordinator.
- Ensure all export cases have the international symbols applied using indelible paint.
- Weigh all items prior to packing and record details in the Weight Register.
- Weigh packed items and record weights and dimensions on the relevant works orders before passing to the Despatch office.
- Work out quotes from drawings for estimated weights and dimensions.
- Ensure all goods are packed according to customer specifications.
- Keep the work area clean and tidy, especially at the end of each day.
- Operate hand-held air tools and electric saws safely.
- Carry out any other duties as requested by the Logistics Coordinator or Operations Manager.
