Position 1 Recruitment is seeking a Control Panel Service Engineer for a well-established engineering company in Thetford, specialising in electrical systems for performance and public venues across the UK. Whats Included: This role involves working away for up to 4 days at a time, with travel home every Friday for the weekend. All accommodation is covered by the company, plus £25 per day. Pension scheme 20 days holiday bank holidays Overtime available Training, mentoring, and development Company phone and iPad Key Responsibilities: Service, maintain, and install control panels for commercial clients across various sectors, including theatres, performance venues, conference centres, and studios. Read and interpret wiring schematics and layout drawings. Apply basic mechanical engineering knowledge to support panel installation and assembly. Follow all Health & Safety policies, including Method Statements and Risk Assessments. Work with galvanised trunking, conduit, and associated electrical components. Perform wire/cable termination and electrical assembly tasks to a high standard. Carry out simple mechanical tasks such as cutting apertures and assembling components. Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. Control Panel Service Engineer will have electrical installation/maintenance experience, relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications, strong IT skills, and attention to detail. Desirable: 18th Edition, LOLER, IPAF, PASMA (training available). A full UK manual driving licence is required.
