Main function of job: Responsible for the safe and accurate assembly of filtration products. Ensures strict adherence to engineering specifications, quality checks, and traceability requirements. Supports Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives while maintaining discipline, cleanliness, and reliability within a high‑integrity manufacturing environment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment following all Health & Safety procedures.
- Work to customer/Porvair drawings, job cards, and process sheets to meet tight tolerances.
- Assemble correct parts according to job cards, machine programs, and engineering drawings.
- Support MRB, NCR, and audit activities.
- Follow calibration and equipment control processes.
- Assemble and finish components within planned times.
- Align priorities with production demands through coordination with the Leading Hand.
- Maintaining test sheets/routing for each component to ensure product/batch traceability.
- Minimise scrap, rework, and waste through efficient work practices and following process.
- Use consumables responsibly and report tooling needs.
- Support improvement activities aimed at reducing machining hours and improving repeatability.
Expected Standards
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
- Follow risk assessments and safe operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised work area (5S).
- Use and maintain appropriate PPE.
- Report safety concerns, hazards, or faulty equipment immediately.
