About the Role
We are looking for a skilled CNC Miller to join our growing production team. You will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision components in line with engineering drawings and specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC milling machines (3, 4, or 5-axis depending on experience)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Edit and prove out CNC programs (Fanuc / Heidenhain)
- Carry out first-off inspections and ensure components meet quality standards
- Use a range of measuring equipment, manual, CMM and OMM
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller / CNC Machinist
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
- Experience with CNC controls (e.g. Fanuc, Heidenhain)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and quality standards
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications (preferred)
- Programming experience (offline or on-machine)
- Experience with CAD/CAM software Fusion 360
