As a Talent Partner at Portview, you will support the attraction, engagement and development of exceptional people. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will focus on recruitment, talent pooling and early careers development, while also being responsible for maintaining and managing our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and supporting wider HR activity when required. You will help shape our future workforce and ensure our values are reflected in everything we do. You will also act as an ambassador for Portview, representing the business externally and promoting our reputation as an employer of choice across the construction and fit-out industry. Please note, this is a hybrid role, based out of our Belfast office. If you are not within a reasonable commutable distance to Belfast, we will have to decline your application.
What our new Talent Manager will be responsible for:
- Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process across the business, ensuring inclusivity, consistency and a positive candidate experience. Partner with hiring managers to define recruitment needs, shape job descriptions and coordinate advertising. Take full ownership of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring accurate data, system optimisation and user support. Proactively source candidates through direct outreach, job boards, social media and networking. Lead or support interviews, promoting a fair, unbiased selection process. Attend weekly resourcing meetings and provide updates on hiring progress and workforce planning. Produce monthly recruitment reports for the board, offering insight, commentary and data analysis.
- Talent Pool Management: Build and maintain a pipeline of high-quality candidates for key and future business roles. Engage with passive talent and maintain relationships that align with Portview’s growth strategy. Support internal mobility and succession planning through effective talent mapping. Analyse recruitment trends and provide insights that shape future resourcing strategies.
- Early Careers Development: Coordinate and develop Portview’s early careers programmes including apprenticeships, placements and graduate schemes. Build partnerships with schools, colleges and universities. Represent Portview at careers fairs, lectures and school engagement events to promote early careers opportunities. Support onboarding, induction and structured learning pathways for early career participants.
- General HR Support: Assist the HR team with general duties such as onboarding, HR administration and employee lifecycle support during quieter recruitment periods. Contribute to cross-functional HR initiatives aligned with department priorities.
Who we would love to work with us:
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in both in-house or agency recruitment roles
- Strong working knowledge of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), with responsibility for system upkeep and reporting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Confident producing reports and interpreting recruitment data
Desirable:
- Experience working with a wider HR Information System (HRIS)
- Previous experience in the construction or fit-out industry, with an understanding of the recruitment market, typical roles and industry-specific challenges
- Experience supporting or managing early careers programmes
- CIPD qualification or equivalent
