We are seeking a skilled and experienced WINEP Investigation Lead to join our Catchment and Environment Management team. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Company’s Water Resource WINEP investigation Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the appointed contractor(s) to deliver the Water Resource WINEP programme to ensure safe and timely delivery by the agreed regulatory output dates and in accordance with the agreed budgets and levels of quality required by environmental Regulators.
- Lead liaison with Southern Water, with regard to aspects of the AMP8 WINEP programme that they are leading, including attendance of project Steering Group meetings.
- Support the Water Resource WRMP24 and WRMP29 programme, including through programme development and management of the process.
- Assisting with WRMP tasks, including but not limited to those associated with options appraisal.
- Technical engagement with environmental Regulators (primarily Environment Agency and Natural England) to ensure successful completion of the WINEP programme.
- Engagement with other stakeholders holding an interest in the WINEP programme, as required.
- Control and reporting of costs and schedule.
- Technical coordination.
- Facilitate liaison with key staff within Portsmouth Water and external bodies.
- Identification, reporting and management of key risks.
- Control and management of contract change.
- Undertaking role of Service Manager under NEC4 Professional Services Contract (PSC).
What do you need?
Skills & Competencies
- Project Management Experience, particularly for environmental study type work.
- Experience in managing consultancy contracts under the NEC4 Professional Services Contract.
- Excellent and demonstrable administration and organisation skills.
- Sound computer literacy skills, particularly Microsoft Office 365 and associated tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving license.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree (or equivalent) in an environmental science/water resources or related discipline, Geography, ecology related.
- More than 5 years' experience working in an environmental assessment or regulatory role or similar, ideally in a project/technical leadership or project management role.
- Previous experience in successfully implementing projects under the NEC4 suite of contract documents, particularly Professional Services Contract (PSC).
