Are you an experienced planner looking to contribute to a project that will make a positive difference for local communities? As Programme Planner for the Havant Thicket Reservoir project, you will play an important role in supporting a nationally significant water infrastructure programme. Working closely with colleagues and partners, you will help maintain project governance arrangements, support the management of programme risks, and keep programme information up to date, ensuring teams have the information they need to work together effectively and achieve shared objectives.
What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update the integrated master programme.
- Review the progress of individual projects, highlighting key activities and helping teams understand programme impacts and upcoming priorities.
- Gather, review and share programme information to support project teams and stakeholders, including reviewing programmes provided by NEC contractors.
- Support programme reviews, scenario planning and the development of mitigation and recovery plans.
- Bring together contractor programmes into the overall project programme.
- Support QSRA outputs and ongoing updates.
- Prepare monthly programme and risk reporting, working collaboratively with colleagues across the project team.
- Work alongside the senior management team (Risk and Cost) to maintain change control processes and support the consistency of programme, risk and cost information.
What do you need?
Skills, Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience using programme management software (Primavera P6 is essential).
- Experience reviewing contractor NEC programmes would be beneficial.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Well organised with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Able to interpret information, identify trends and communicate findings clearly through reports and presentations.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams.
- Understanding of risk management principles (Monte Carlo analysis would be beneficial).
- Experience with ERP systems and contract management software would be advantageous.
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
- Around 4 years' relevant industry experience would be beneficial.
- Membership of, or willingness to work towards membership of, APM, PMI or another relevant professional body.
- Chartered status would be welcomed but is not essential.
- Membership of a relevant professional body would be welcomed but is not essential.
- Hold a valid driver's licence. All applicants will be required to undertake our driver assessment.
If you are successful for the role, you will be required to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) pre-employment checks that will include a basic disclosure check. Depending on the role, you may also be required to go through the national security vetting process for either a CTC or SC clearance check. Any offer of employment is conditional upon completion and receipt of satisfactory checks.
