Portsmouth Water is looking for a Finance System Implementation Lead to support the rollout of the Finance module as part of our ERP upgrade to IFS Cloud on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. You’ll help ensure the system integrates seamlessly with existing finance processes, maintain accurate data, and drive adoption across the business. Acting as a key point of contact, you’ll work closely with stakeholders to monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate IFS Finance module functionality against key process requirements.
- Prepare the Finance team for adoption and integration of the upgraded system as part of the business readiness assessment framework.
- Ensure Finance team configuration and delivery plans remain in alignment with the wider ERP IFS Cloud upgrade.
- Lead communication between the Finance team and other stakeholders to manage risks and resolve issues promptly through to go‑live.
- Assist with data cleansing, migration, and data quality validation activities in accordance with GDPR and other data protection regulations.
- Review test scenarios, agree test coverage and scripts to ensure they align with Finance team requirements.
- Support and shape appropriate user access controls and permissions within IFS Cloud, maintaining system security and compliance across multiple user groups.
- Collaborate with the Solution Integrator to review training needs and deliver blended learning solutions to the Finance team and other end‑users.
- Capture management information reporting requirements and validate solutions such as dashboard reporting in PowerBI.
- Deploy change management and people engagement techniques to help stakeholders adjust to digital transformation considerations.
- Provide ongoing support to the Finance team and troubleshooting after go‑live, gathering feedback and implementing continuous improvements.
- Identify process improvement opportunities resulting from the upgrade for consideration and implementation through phase 2.

- Proven experience and capability of working on ERP system implementation.
- Expert information gathering and software, system requirements elicitation skills.
- Proven ability of working with stakeholders to successfully deliver system change and digital transformation initiatives.
- Capable of delivering training support to ensure the successful implementation of UAT programmes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to deliver an enhanced customer experience.
- Excellent collaboration skills and working as part of a high performing team.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills to manage a complex and varied workload.
- Advanced levels of attention to detail, analytical and methodical approach.
