We are thrilled to offer an opportunity within our Network Department for a Network Flushing Operative. In this role, you will be responsible for effectively flushing the distribution network and identifying maintenance needs, all while ensuring that activities are aligned with PW’s operating procedures. You will also ensure that all company and regulatory standards are consistently followed. With a positive, proactive attitude, you will confidently manage queries in a calm and thoughtful manner. You’ll enjoy working in a supportive team environment, with the opportunity to work outdoors and tackle new challenges each day. Your efforts will play a key role in providing a vital service to our customers. You’ll also work closely with other departments and external partners to resolve network and customer concerns. Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with both internal and external customers.
- Ensure that all network operations are conducted thoughtfully, with careful planning and consideration.
- Complete all operations in line with relevant PW policies, procedures, and RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements).
- Perform field activities with effective customer communication, ensuring all relevant information is accurately processed and returned.
- Follow department‑specific risk and COSHH assessments in line with PW standards.
- Assist in the timely, proactive, and reactive communications with both customers and internal departments.
- Ensure all face‑to‑face customer interactions are handled with grace and professionalism, maintaining high standards of customer service throughout.
- Participate in out of hours work as required, with the flexibility to begin flushing operations when network conditions permit.
