Portsmouth Water are delighted to have an opening for a Senior OT Network & Security Engineer to support the Digital Transformation of our Production Department. In this critical role, you will help shape the future of OT at Portsmouth Water by taking responsibility for designing, developing, maintaining and optimising OT network and cyber security solutions. You will deliver eCAF technical objectives while working closely with both operational and technical teams to improve site connectivity, cyber security, Network Information Systems (NIS) compliance, and data acquisition. All of which will elevate the business into an exciting and high performing technological future.
What will you be doing? Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain OT network and network security assets.
- Ensure continuous compliance with manufacturer, company and regulatory standards.
- Proactive monitoring of OT cyber security equipment and systems.
- Lead OT network security workstreams.
- Design, install and commission network and control upgrades and improvements.
- Commission OT works to company and regulatory compliant standards where required.
- Author, manage and review engineering documentation.
- Design and develop OT cyber security and systems solutions including Intrusion Detection, SIEM integration, vulnerability monitoring & management and threat hunting.
- Design & install systems from and to architecture drawings.
- Configuration of managed switches and firewalls including patching & backup management.
- Manage and facilitate network Penetration Testing.
- Produce security improvement plans where appropriate.
- Security improvements including design, build and management of servers, virtual environments, Domain Controllers, Active Directory etc.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity and change control systems.
- Develop project documentation for project lifecycle.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures.
- Promote Cyber Security culture across the business to normalise as BAU.
What do you need? Skills, Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field.
- Experienced in managing digital network security and governance.
- Experienced in managing firewalls, routers and switches.
- Expert understanding of networking & network management.
- Expert understanding of physical and logical networking methods including virtual environments.
- Expert understanding and experience in managing of Domain Controllers and Active Directory.
- Experienced in managing virtual environments.
- Conceptual understanding of PLC/HMI/SCADA systems.
- System maintenance including patch management and disaster recovery.
- Working to and developing project/engineering documentation.
- Working knowledge of cyber security policies and equipment.
- Recognised cyber security qualification.
