We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and resilient Special Needs Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will support pupils with complex learning, communication and additional needs to access learning, develop independence and thrive within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about supporting children with SEND.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Has patience, flexibility and a positive attitude.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Is willing to undertake training, including personal care and medical procedures where appropriate.
- Shares our commitment to inclusion, personal development and high aspirations for every child.
The role includes:
- Supporting pupils individually and in small groups.
- Assisting with personal care and self-help skills where required.
- Working alongside teachers and therapists to deliver programmes and interventions.
- Supporting children during lunchtimes, educational visits and enrichment activities.
- Attending overnight residential visits as required.
