Are you organised, practical and interested in property? As a Property Assistant, you will support the management of our commercial properties by visiting sites, assisting tenants, coordinating repairs and keeping essential property information up to date.
Your new role
As a Property Assistant, you will provide essential support to the Property and Investment Team, helping to manage the council's commercial property portfolio. You will respond to enquiries, coordinate repairs and compliance activities, maintain property records, carry out site visits, and work closely with tenants, contractors and colleagues to ensure properties are managed safely and effectively.
We offer hybrid working with the expectation to attend the office minimum 2 days a week (pro rata for part time), this remains flexible, depending on the role and subject to business needs, this is in addition to site visits.
You will be a proactive, organised and customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be confident managing a varied workload, building positive relationships with tenants, contractors and colleagues, and using your initiative to solve problems and deliver a high-quality service. Experience in property, facilities management, compliance or asset management would be advantageous, and you will need the ability to travel independently to sites across Portsmouth and the surrounding area, with a full driving licence being desirable.
