Your new role: Join the Solent Careers Hub and play a key role in connecting employers with young people across Southampton, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.
Working with businesses, schools and colleges, you'll build strong employer partnerships that help create meaningful careers experiences, including modern work experience opportunities, workplace insight activities and career pathway programmes.
You'll work closely with local employers to increase their understanding of careers education, develop opportunities that support skills development and future workforce needs, and ensure young people have access to a diverse range of employers and industries.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the aspirations, ASC Income Co-ordinator 37 hours per week.
This role will provide you the chance to support the progression and career outcomes of young people across the Solent region while supporting local economic growth and workforce development.
Who is the person summary
- We're looking for an engaging and proactive professional with a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) and a passion for helping young people develop their skills and career opportunities.
- You'll have experience building strong relationships with employers, schools, colleges and other stakeholders, alongside a good understanding of skills development, employability, careers education and workforce needs.
- You'll be confident managing multiple projects and partnerships, using your excellent communication and influencing skills to engage a wide range of audiences.
- Organised and self-motivated, you'll be able to prioritise competing demands, work collaboratively with partners, and use digital systems and social media effectively to maximise engagement and impact.
- Knowledge of local and national skills and employment priorities, particularly the barriers faced by young people, would be advantageous.

Information: This role will be based in Portsmouth and will include travel across Solent Region, including Southampton, Portsmouth, and the Isle of Wight.
The postholder will be expected to work approximately 2 days in the office each week.
This role will also include occasional travel to regional and national meetings.
