Court Lane Junior is a vibrant, inspiring academy of 480 pupils, organised into 4-year groups from Year 3 to Year 6. Our values 'Believe Inspire Achieve' are woven through all that we do here, ensuring that children have exceptional and enjoyable experiences during their time in our school.
We are looking for an individual to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team as a Lunchtime Supervisor. You would be on hand to supervise children during their lunch break, encouraging good manners, healthy eating and polite behaviour in the dining hall. The role would include preparing and clearing the hall and keeping the dining area clean and tidy ensuring a safe environment. You would also safeguard pupils on the playground and within the school building, promoting positive play, and high standards of behaviour and an enjoyable midday break.
With a positive and encouraging attitude, you will have the skills to enable children to learn and develop and have a general knowledge of the principles of supervising children during midday break.
The school is proud to be part of the University of Chichester Multi-Academy Trust which would provide you with access to additional opportunities and benefits. All academies within the Trust have a unique identity, but a shared belief in creating a positive and enriching environment, where staff feel valued.
Two-Week October Half Term
We have introduced a two-week October half-term across all our schools. This initiative is already making a positive impact, giving staff and pupils a valuable break during the long autumn term, reducing absence through illness, and supporting overall well-being. It also brings greater consistency across our Trust, creating a more connected and efficient way of working. It’s just one example of how we prioritise our people and create a working environment where everyone can thrive.
Diversity and Inclusion
At the University of Chichester Academy Trust, we believe that diversity drives creativity, innovation, and excellence. We are committed to providing equality of opportunity, fostering an inclusive culture, and creating a community where everyone feels they belong. We particularly welcome applications from individuals who are underrepresented within our workforce, including those from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic backgrounds, disabled individuals, LGBTQI+ individuals, and women—especially for senior leadership roles.
Safeguarding Commitment
We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Our recruitment and selection practices will reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks, along with other relevant employment checks.
