Beechside provides short-break accommodation for up to six children aged 5-18 with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and communication needs. We are looking for a Part time Domestic Assistant to join our team working 5 hours per week.
About the Role
You will be responsible for carrying out general cleaning duties to include lounges, dining rooms, occupational rooms, cleaners store, bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, stairs, corridors, halls, and office areas. There will be occasions when you will need to do a deep clean such as washing down walls and paintwork, upholstery and furnishings as well as reporting verbally or in writing any defects in furniture, fittings and equipment to the shift leader of the day. You will also be responsible for processing items of laundry.
The ideal candidate
You will have/be:
- Previously undertaken domestic and laundry work in a residential setting or worked to a cleaning schedule.
- Willing to undertake the wide range of cleaning and laundry tasks and be flexible with other duties you may be asked to undertake.
- Had formal or informal training in cleaning and laundry work.
