We are recruiting for a proactive and highly organised Attendance Improvement Coordinator to help improve pupil attendance and punctuality to reduce levels of absence.
Working closely with school leaders, colleagues, pupils, families and external agencies, you will use attendance information to identify concerns and coordinate timely support and intervention.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and analyse attendance information, identifying patterns and pupils requiring additional support.
- Work collaboratively with pupils, families, colleagues and external professionals to improve attendance and punctuality.
- Arrange attendance meetings, undertake home visits and complete referrals when required.
- Ensure attendance registers, statutory returns and related records are completed accurately.
- Promote and celebrate good attendance across the school.
- Contribute to the school’s wider safeguarding, welfare and inclusion work.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have relevant experience within education, attendance, safeguarding, welfare, pastoral support or a related area.
- Be able to build positive and professional relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Communicate sensitively and confidently, including during challenging conversations.
- Have strong organisational and administrative skills and be comfortable analysing information.
- Be resilient, professional and committed to improving outcomes for children.

Formally known as Penhale Infant School and Newbridge Junior School, we officially joined together in September 2022 to form Penbridge Infants and Junior School. The infants site comprises of a nursery with 24 places for funded 2-4 year olds and a 2-form entry infant school with 180 children on the roll including 24 in our Rainbow Fish Inclusion Unit. The juniors site comprises of a 4-form entry school with 440 children on the roll.
