We are looking for passionate and dedicated Supported Housing Workers to join our Aspirations Supported Housing Service. This is a rewarding opportunity to support care-experienced young people aged 16 to 25 as they transition to independent living.

About the service:

The Aspirations Supported Housing Service provides high-quality supported accommodation for young people transitioning from care. Delivered across shared houses, the service helps young people build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to live independently and thrive.

About the Role:

In this varied and meaningful role, you will support young people living in shared accommodation to develop independent living skills. You will provide practical and emotional support to help sustain tenancies, as well as assist individuals in accessing employment, education, or training opportunities. The role also involves supporting young people with benefit claims and day-to-day life management. You will deliver one-to-one key work sessions and facilitate group activities, while contributing to assessments, support plans, and referrals to other services. In addition, you will work closely with Personal Advisors and partner agencies and ensure that housing properties are well maintained, with any issues reported promptly.

The ideal candidate:

  • Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential
  • Experienced in supported housing or working with young people with complex needs
  • Skilled in building positive, professional relationships
  • A confident communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Able to assess risk and manage support needs effectively
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Organised, resilient, and able to manage a busy workload
  • IT literate with good written and numerical skills
  • Willing to work in young people's homes and provide practical support when needed
  • Able to travel between properties (full driving licence preferred)

Working Arrangements: The majority of time will be on site in the houses or at the office for team meetings etc. There will be occasional home working with manager's agreement.
