We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Construction Inspection team as an apprentice, learning whilst working to achieve their Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor. This role will be 80% work based in and around Portsmouth and 20% at college studying in the classroom.
Work alongside Construction Inspectors and Contract Administrators to ensure high-quality project delivery, carrying out site inspections and leading on smaller schemes such as fire door installations and repairs. You'll monitor compliance with building regulations, quality standards, and health & safety requirements, challenge contractors where needed, and support value-for-money outcomes.
The role involves regular site reporting, attending project meetings, and assisting with surveys including snagging and defect inspections, with work at height using access equipment as required.
We're looking for someone with a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) and strong practical construction knowledge, keen to build a career as a Site Supervisor. You'll have an eye for detail, confidence to challenge contractors, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and resolve issues on site. With good IT skills and a commitment to health & safety compliance, you'll produce clear site reports and help maintain high standards across projects.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, along with a willingness to work towards professional membership with the ICWCI and continue your professional development.
