Contracts and Commissioning Officer - Secondment/fixed term opportunity for up to 12 months or until the substantive post holder returns due to maternity cover.
We are looking for a Contracts and Commissioning Officer to join our Contracts and Commissioning team tosupport the development, implementation, and monitoring of contracts for externally commissioned Adult social care services.This is a full time role based at the Civic Offices with some hybrid working depending on business needs
You will play a key role in achieving outcomes by ensuring high quality, sustainable services through effective commissioning and contract management. You will support with the development, implementation and monitoring of contracts for externally commissioned ASC services. Working closely with stakeholders and senior managers you will ensure effective procurement processes, improve quality, support market development, market oversight and manage performance.
Who is the person summary
With substantial proven experience within a contract management, procurement or commission role (or similar), you will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience. With strong leadership skills, with experience of managing stakeholders and leading projects, you will understand the process of collaborative working within contract management. You will need to be highly organised with the ability to prioritise work with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be able to work independently using your own initiative and also as part of a team whilst encouraging innovation and achieving results.
