We're recruiting for a Safety and Assurance Officer to join our Air Navigation Services (ANS) team, working alongside Air Traffic Control and Air Traffic Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting safety, assurance, change management and competency processes within a regulated aviation environment.
Reporting to the Manager of ANS Compliance, you will work closely with operational, technical and management teams to ensure critical safety and assurance activities are accurately administered, effectively coordinated and properly documented. Your work will directly support the delivery of safe, efficient and compliant air navigation services
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safety action trackers, hazard records and assurance documentation.
- Support safety investigations, audits, inspections and management reviews.
- Coordinate change management processes and maintain associated records.
- Organise meetings, record actions and follow up on agreed outcomes.
- Manage training, competency and authorisation records.
- Prepare reports, dashboards and management information.
- Maintain controlled documents, evidence libraries and filing systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across safety and assurance activities.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
You will have:
- Experience working within a structured administrative, operational, safety, compliance or aviation environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and tracking actions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Desirable
- Experience in aviation, compliance, quality or safety management.
- Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Experience supporting audits, assurance reviews or regulatory inspections.
