We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a major Finance transformation programme within a leading London Market insurer.
This is not an Oracle technical or implementation specialist role. The focus is on strong project delivery - bringing Finance and IT teams together, creating structure and governance, managing stakeholders and driving a number of improvement initiatives through to completion.
The role will involve:
- Driving a portfolio of Finance systems improvements and automation initiatives
- Supporting the rollout and adoption of new Oracle reporting and reconciliation capabilities
- Managing a substantial backlog of system enhancements and process improvements
- Coordinating Finance users, IT Product Owners and technology/support teams
- Establishing clear plans, priorities, dependencies, RAID and governance
- Driving actions, resolving blockers and ensuring initiatives keep moving
- Supporting business adoption of new processes and capabilities
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong Project Management experience within Finance transformation or Finance systems change
- Experience working across business and technology teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A highly organised, proactive and delivery-focused approach
- Experience with ERP/EPM platforms - Oracle would be advantageous but is not essential
- Insurance, Financial Services or other regulated-industry experience
- London Market / Lloyd's experience would be advantageous but is not essential
The initial engagement is three months, but this reflects the currently approved phase of funding rather than the overall length of the programme. There is a substantial pipeline of further Finance transformation activity and good potential for extension for someone who delivers well.
This would suit a hands-on Project Manager who is comfortable coming into a complex environment, connecting the dots between teams and taking ownership of getting things done
