My client is currently seeking an experienced FP&A lead to join a new programme. The FP&A Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting a major business transformation programme focused on modernising financial planning, forecasting, and reporting capabilities. As the organisation prepares to select and implement a new FP&A solution, the FP&A Lead will act as a strategic partner across Finance, Technology, and the wider business - shaping requirements, influencing solution design, and ensuring the future FP&A operating model is fit for purpose. This is a unique opportunity to sit at the centre of transformation, helping define how financial planning and insight will be delivered in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Finance lead within the transformation programme, ensuring FP&A perspectives are fully represented.
  • Translate business strategy into clear FP&A capability requirements, covering budgeting, forecasting, modelling, analytics, reporting, and scenario planning.
  • Support the definition of the future-state FP&A operating model, processes, and data flows.
  • Partner with programme leadership to shape the transformation roadmap and ensure alignment with Finance priorities.
  • Support vendor assessments, RFP scoring, and design workshops, ensuring the chosen solution aligns with business needs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert throughout the selection process, bridging gaps between operational users and technical teams.

  • Extensive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or financial modelling roles.
  • Proven track record supporting transformation programmes or system implementations.
  • Strong understanding of planning cycles, budgeting methods, and performance measurement.
  • Experience with enterprise planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, Oracle EPM, Power BI).
  • Advanced Excel and modelling capability.
