We are seeking an experienced Transformation & Strategy Programme Manager to lead, shape and deliver largeâscale business transformation initiatives within the utilities sector. This is a senior strategic role, working closely with Câsuite leaders and executive stakeholders to define transformation roadmaps, drive operational change, and develop technologyâenabled solutions that improve performance and deliver measurable commercial impact - including EBIT growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic thinker with strong delivery capability, deep sector knowledge, and the ability to translate complex operational challenges into actionable and sustainable transformation programmes. The role is outside IR35 - Requirement for 3 days a week on-site in the West Midlands and also London on occasion.
Key responsibilities- Lead enterpriseâwide transformation programmes, aligning initiatives with organisational strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Shape business cases, operating models and transformation roadmaps that deliver tangible value and efficiency improvements.
- Identify and drive technologyâenabled opportunities (automation, data insights, digital customer journeys, integration platforms, AI/ML enhancements).
- Oversee the delivery of highâimpact change programmes that improve operational performance and support EBIT growth.
- Apply deep understanding of the utilities market - including water, energy, gas or infrastructure - to ensure strategies are compliant, pragmatic and commercially viable.
- Ensure transformation programmes meet regulatory standards (Ofgem / environmental & sustainability requirements).
- Anticipate policy, market and customer impacts and factor these into transformation plans.
- Proven experience as a Transformation Lead, Strategy Manager, Programme Manager, or similar senior role.
- Strong background in the utilities sector - energy, gas, power or infrastructure.
- Experience delivering largeâscale business and digital transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (Ofwat, Ofgem, ESG, environmental & compliance standards).
- Ability to translate business strategy into actionable, measurable programmes.
- Experience identifying and shaping technologyâenabled improvements that drive operational efficiency and commercial value.
- Skilled in benefits realisation, financial modelling, and supporting EBIT growth.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including Câsuite engagement.
- Strong communication, presentation, and workshopâfacilitation abilities.
