Glaze Spray Operator

We’re looking for a Glaze Spray Operator to join our production team supporting a key stage of our manufacturing process.

The role involves operating automated glazing equipment to apply an even and consistent glaze to ceramic products before firing. This is an important part of our manufacturing process, as the quality of the glaze contributes to the finished product’s appearance, durability and overall quality.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment would be desirable but is not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate automated spray equipment to apply glaze evenly to ceramic products

• Ensure glaze coverage and thickness meet required company quality standards and specifications

• Check ware before glazing to ensure surfaces are clean and free from visible defects, such as cracks or bumps

• Prepare, clean and maintain spray guns, nozzles and spray booth equipment

• Carry out routine checks to ensure equipment is operating correctly

• Identify and report any quality or equipment issues

• Achieve production and quality targets set for the department

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area

• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures

• Work effectively both independently and as part of the wider production team

• Be flexible in your approach to the needs of a fast-paced production environment
