We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded individual to support the growth of our international sales, helping to drive performance across key markets while delivering excellent service to our global partners.
Job Purpose
To support the growth of profitable sales for Portmeirion across international markets by assisting in the management of existing accounts and identifying new opportunities. You will help ensure that account administration, communication, and operational tasks are carried out efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the international sales and marketing strategy, helping to coordinate information with distributors, sales agents, and key accounts.
- Assist in gathering and reviewing historical sales data and market trends in your assigned regions.
- Help monitor performance against targets and flag potential gaps or growth opportunities.
- Contribute to research into new market sectors and sales channels.
- Support the team in preparing recommendations and presentations for potential new business initiatives.
- Liaise with customers and partners to collect feedback on product ranges and service levels.
- Relay market insights to the International Sales Manager and wider team.
- Attend customer meetings and trade events (as required) with your line manager or sales agents to gain market knowledge and build relationships.
- Help prepare sales forecasts, promotional plans, and market updates for inclusion in annual planning.
- Work with the wider global sales team to support ongoing projects and provide assistance as needed across other regions.
- Coordinate with Customer Services and Logistics to help ensure orders are processed smoothly and customer needs are met promptly.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising and Marketing teams to support brand visibility and product presentation in key markets.
- Represent Portmeirion Group brands with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a strong focus on customer service.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience of sales, business development, or account management, ideally within an international or export-focused environment.
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships across diverse cultures and markets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and present effectively.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Language skills (desirable).
- A team player with a proactive, self-motivated approach to achieving targets and goals.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field (preferred).
