We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to manage a small finance team.
The Management Accountant is responsible for preparation of accurate and timely information to enable management to enhance Company profitability and performance.
The role ensures the timely production of accurate monthly management accounts, revenue reporting and statutory accounts information and accurate reporting of company assets and liabilities through the sales and purchase ledgers.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of accurate, timely and relevant management information to include KPI reports, monthly management accounts and sales analyses.
- Preparation of PGUK accounts information for review by the external auditors.
- Management of the company royalty obligations.
- Oversee the fixed asset system and account reconciliations.
- Filing of the VAT return for PGUK.
- Preparation of the monthly sales reconciliations and reporting.
- Departmental cost centre reviews with budget holders.
- Review of retail accounts and margin analysis.
- Preparation of manual revenue adjustments e. g. credit note provisions, cash discounts and retrospective rebates.
- Prepare the prepayment and accrual schedules.
- Calculation of advertising allowances.
- Responsible for checking and analysing royalties receivable.
- Processing intercompany transactions.
- Reconciliation and close of AR and AP including FX adjustments.
- Ad-hoc queries as requested by other departments.
