Caledonian Dental Care is seeking a skilled, compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our highly regarded and extremely busy practice at York Place, Perth. Caledonian Dental Care is one of Scotland’s largest and most established dental practices, with two pre-eminent practices located close together in Perth. We have been proudly providing high-quality dentistry to the local community since 1947, and we continue to grow while maintaining exceptional clinical standards and patient care.
Working Pattern: Mondays & Fridays (bi-weekly)
The Role: As a key member of our clinical team, you will deliver outstanding preventative and periodontal care while building trusted, long-term relationships with patients.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Performing comprehensive dental cleanings and oral health assessments
- Providing treatment for gum disease and other periodontal conditions
- Educating patients on oral hygiene, prevention, and long-term oral health
- Administering teeth whitening treatments
- Utilising air polishing for advanced hygiene procedures
- Maintaining accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Working closely with dentists and the wider team to deliver holistic patient care
- Adhering to the highest standards of infection control and clinical governance
- Keeping up to date with the latest dental hygiene techniques and technologies
About You: You will be a confident, patient-focused hygienist who takes pride in delivering exceptional care.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid GDC registration
- Qualification in Dental Hygiene from a recognised institution
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Strong knowledge of preventative dentistry and periodontal care
- Experience with airflow/air polishing and teeth whitening
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain treatments clearly
- A caring, empathetic approach that builds patient trust and loyalty
- High attention to detail and commitment to clinical excellence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
