We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our thriving dental practice in Manchester. In this dual role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and managing front desk operations efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for patients.
- Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Manage the reception area, greeting patients and scheduling appointments.
- Handle patient enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update the practice management system.
- Process payments and manage financial transactions.
- Coordinate with dental laboratories and suppliers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
- Contribute to the overall efficient running of the dental practice.
Qualifications
- Dental Nursing qualification (e.g. National Diploma in Dental Nursing).
- Current GDC (General Dental Council) registration.
- Previous experience as a dental nurse and/or receptionist is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and infection control protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and general computer skills.
- Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and staying updated with industry standards.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts as required.
