We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our thriving dental practice in Manchester. In this dual role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and managing front desk operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for patients.
  • Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Manage the reception area, greeting patients and scheduling appointments.
  • Handle patient enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update the practice management system.
  • Process payments and manage financial transactions.
  • Coordinate with dental laboratories and suppliers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
  • Contribute to the overall efficient running of the dental practice.

Qualifications

  • Dental Nursing qualification (e.g. National Diploma in Dental Nursing).
  • Current GDC (General Dental Council) registration.
  • Previous experience as a dental nurse and/or receptionist is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and infection control protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software and general computer skills.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
