Financial Accountant

My client is a fast-growing financial services group looking to hire a Financial Accountant to take ownership of key Finance processes during a critical period of growth.

Timing is key – with an upcoming team transition, they are looking to move quickly and ideally begin interviews next week.

The Role

This is a hands‑on position with real ownership. You will lead the month‑end close, support process improvements, and help build robust internal controls across the business.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the detail while also improving how things are done.

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of month‑end close
• Managing accruals, prepayments, and P&L reviews
• Supporting audit processes and external stakeholders
• Strengthening internal controls and financial processes
• Contributing to ongoing improvements across Finance

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with complex revenue environment experience ideally Wealth / Asset Management, or Fintech / Investment Platforms / Insurance ( Life & Pensions )
• Strong month‑end experience in a fast‑paced environment
• A proactive, independent problem‑solver with a questioning mindset
• High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership
• Confident communicator, comfortable challenging and improving processes
