Portman Recruitment is recruiting experienced Support Workers to join our local temporary staffing bank across Peterborough and the Fenland area.

You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental-health needs, physical disabilities and complex care requirements.

The role may involve:

  • Providing personal care
  • Supporting medication and health needs
  • Helping with cooking, cleaning and everyday routines
  • Encouraging choice, independence and life skills
  • Supporting community activities and appointments
  • Following support plans and completing accurate records

We are looking for caring, patient and resilient workers who can provide consistent support and remain calm during challenging situations.

Applicants should have recent professional experience within care, supported living, residential services or community support. Experience with autism, complex needs or positive behaviour support is desirable.

Flexible assignments may include days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and waking nights.

A full UK driving licence and access to transport are strongly preferred because some services are located in rural communities.

An enhanced DBS, satisfactory professional references, current mandatory training and the right to work in the UK will be required.
