Assistant / Trainee Manager Children's Residential
Location: Leeds
Starting salary: Β£35,000 per annum plus sleep-in payments
Working pattern: Residential shift rota, including approximately 910 sleep-ins per month

Are you an experienced children's residential care professional looking to progress into management?
This opportunity offers a clear development pathway towards becoming a Registered Manager, with all training and qualifications required for your development fully funded.
You will work alongside the Registered Manager, gaining practical management experience while helping to create a safe, supportive and nurturing home for children and young people.
The role
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
- Lead shifts and provide guidance and support to the staff team.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Promote safeguarding and respond appropriately to concerns.
- Support care planning, risk assessments and accurate record keeping.
- Help with staff supervision, development and induction.
- Assist with audits, quality assurance and preparation for Ofsted inspections.
- Work closely with families, social workers, education teams and other professionals.
- Take on increasing management responsibilities as your skills and confidence develop.
- Participate in the rota, including approximately 910 sleep-ins each month.
What we're looking for
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. xgikmsk
- Full UK driving licence.
