We are recruiting on behalf of our client for two Deputy Managers to join a childrens residential home in the South Yorkshire area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced senior residential practitioners or existing Deputy Managers who are passionate about safeguarding, leadership, and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

About the Role

As Deputy Manager, you will play a key leadership role within the home, supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service and deputising in their absence. You will help create a safe, supportive, and child-focused environment in line with safeguarding policies, legislation, and best practice standards. You will lead shifts, supervise staff, and ensure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguard children and promote their welfare at all times
  • Support and deputise for the Home Manager when required
  • Lead shifts and oversee the day-to-day allocation of duties
  • Assist with rota management and staffing arrangements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and client policies
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and motivation to staff
  • Mentor and support new and less experienced team members
