As a Deputy Manager, you will help create an environment where young people feel safe, secure, supported, and motivated to achieve positive outcomes.

The home supports children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), with a holistic and therapeutic approach at the centre of the service. Through close collaboration with clinical professionals and support teams, the service is designed to meet the emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs of every young person in care.

The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and operational standards are consistently maintained.

  • Help ensure the home operates in line with Childrens Home Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Promote positive outcomes and therapeutic care practices
  • Support safeguarding, risk management, and care planning

  • Step into the Registered Manager role when required

What Were Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years experience within residential childcare
  • Previous supervisory or senior experience within a Childrens Residential Home
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (desirable or willingness to work towards)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and Childrens Home Regulations
  • Passionate, committed, and resilient leader
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months
