About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced, resilient, and nurturing Senior Children's Support Worker to join one of their family-style residential homes. You will be supporting children and young people with severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, including some individuals who are non-verbal.
You will provide encouragement and praise, remain calm and patient during times of crisis, and use your experience and passion to inspire colleagues and help achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people in your care. Personal care is a required part of this position.
- Minimum of 12 months experience working in complex care
- Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or Health & Social Care (recognised within pay rate)
- Experience or knowledge of child-centred and therapeutic care models
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Naturally caring, flexible, and resilient approach
- Ability to work shifts and sleep-ins as part of a flexible rota
- Makaton or BSL skills are desirable but not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence is beneficial
