We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established children's residential provider for a Registered Manager to lead a residential home in Greater Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive organisation committed to delivering outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people.

The Role As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered in line with Ofsted regulations and company policies.

You will lead, develop and motivate your team while creating a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for the children and young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the children's residential home.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and all relevant legislation.
  • Lead, support and develop a high-performing staff team.
  • Promote positive outcomes and person-centred care for children and young people.
  • Monitor safeguarding practices and ensure the welfare of all residents.
  • Manage budgets, staffing and occupancy in line with organisational expectations.
  • Build positive relationships with families, local authorities and external professionals.

Requirements

Essential

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or currently working towards achieving it).
  • Current UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience within a children's residential care setting.

• Either

  • An experienced Registered Manager, or
  • A strong Deputy Manager with a minimum of two years' experience who is ready to progress into a Registered Manager position.
  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations and children's residential legislation.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Highly Desirable

  • Previous experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities.
