Portland School has an opening for an unqualified teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality vocational learning. Some lessons may cover construction and motor vehicle maintenance for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will use practical, hands-on learning experiences to develop pupils’ technical skills, confidence, resilience, employability and aspirations within a supportive and therapeutic educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Approx. 50% of allocated time teaching vocational subjects.
- Curriculum development, workshop management and assessment.
- Intervention programmes, pastoral support and employer engagement.
- Enrichment activities and contributing to the wider life of the school.
