We are looking for a General Practitioner who is fully registered with the GMC and on the NHS performers list, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering patient-centred care, who works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Interest in Women’s Health or Minor Surgery is preferred.
Main Duties of the Job:
- We are seeking a motivated and compassionate General Practitioner to join us as a Salaried GP, working 4–6 sessions per week over a 12‑month contract with potential for extension.

About the Practice:
Portland Medical Practice is a long‑established, patient‑focused General Practice with a list size of over 8,500. It is situated in the heart of Aldridge, operates from a modern, well‑equipped facility, and prides itself on delivering high‑quality care to the community. The multidisciplinary team includes 3 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, experienced nurses and efficient administrative staff. The practice offers a wide range of Enhanced Services, maintains an excellent QOF record and has been rated Good by the CQC. Modern facilities include joint injections, minor surgery and women’s health services. It is a teaching and training practice involved in local collaborations and Primary Care Networks (PCN) and uses the EMIS Web clinical system.
