We are seeking a motivated Education Team Manager to lead and inspire our Education delivery team here at Portland College. This pivotal role ensures high-quality teaching and learning across the department, driving continuous and consistent improvement and supporting staff to achieve outstanding outcomes for learners. The successful candidate will join either our main campus in Mansfield or our Hub campuses in Nottingham (Forest Road West/Woodborough Road).
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing a thriving team of tutors, ensuring delivery of learning is the best it can be for our learners.
- Using coaching and mentoring techniques to support, inspire and motivate the team.
- Monitoring learner progress and outcomes through effective data analysis.
- Providing regular training to the team.
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and various teams across the college.
- Using proven leadership and people management skills.
- Using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in delivery of training and confidently managing performance.
- Knowledge and understanding of individualised study programmes, safeguarding, and frameworks such as Preparation for Adulthood and Education Inspection Framework.
- Confidence, resilience and passion for providing the best level of education and support for our learners.
Qualifications
- Level 2 English, Maths and ICT
- TAQA level 3 Teaching qualification
- Education and Training Level 4 or equivalent or willingness to work towards within an agreed timeframe
- Coach-mentor qualification or willingness to work towards within an agreed timeframe
- TAQA level 4 or willingness to work towards within an agreed timeframe
Successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide proof of right to work in the UK. Experience with regulated activity, including child and adult barred lists DBS check.
