We’re looking for a creative, confident and highly organised Interior Design Stylist to drive interior design projects across our apartment portfolio. With a strong focus on furniture, furnishings, styling and space planning, you’ll take projects from initial concept and mood boards through to sourcing, installation and final set-up. You’ll have a great eye for design and know how to make the most of different spaces, creating schemes that are both stylish and practical. Alongside the creative side, you’ll manage budgets, suppliers and project delivery, lead the Interiors Assistant and ensure every scheme is delivered on time and to a consistently high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead FF&E design schemes from planning through to completion for new & existing properties
  • Develop and present landlord proposals for furniture, styling, and replacements
  • Create interior specifications and mood boards
  • Create annual style guides
  • Research and apply interior trends to improve styling standards and continuously evolve design direction across the portfolio
  • Maximise space through creative furniture and layout solutions, ensuring the design works effectively within each apartment
  • Oversee the interior reset Programme
  • Supervise the Interiors Assistant by delegating and overseeing workload
  • Work alongside the Directors on wider interior design projects across the Portland Group, using CAD and SketchUp
  • Produce costed landlord proposals for refurbishments and furniture replacements
  • Support the acquisition team with design input and property readiness
  • Manage interior budgets and cost tracking
  • Maintain accurate refurbishment costings and data in internal systems (e.g. Sugar)
  • Support logistical planning for apartment set-ups, coordinating teams and ensuring on-site readiness
  • Support property disposals
  • Support set-up checklists and task tracking, ensuring clarity, completion, and accuracy
  • Monitor set-up progress and close out outstanding snags quickly, ensuring full completion
  • Attend apartment set-ups to resolve live issues and support delivery
  • Align apartment set-ups with sales timelines and operational requirements
  • Have a sound understanding of maintenance works and their impact on delivery
  • Maintain SugarCRM with Interior Information
  • Manage supplier relationships and act as key point of contact
  • Oversee ordering, interior stock control, and delivery coordination
  • Attend annual supplier meetings
  • Oversee specialist installations (e.g. curtains, furniture fit-outs)
  • Communicate when required with our landlords and contractors
  • Work closely with Operations, Sales, Acquisitions, and Marketing Teams

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years' experience in Interior Design
  • Ability to use the following software at an intermediate or above level: CAD, Sketch-up
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems and confident picking up new platforms
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Confident working in a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working closely with various internal and external stakeholders
